Slug and Snail Repellent
Worldwide research shows that copper, a soil trace element, is also an excellent repellent for slugs and snails and will kill when sprayed directly on them. Escar-Go creates an 'invisible' barrier when applied around plants, on tree trunks, pots or letter boxes that lasts for months, doesn't wash off and is completely safe around kids, pets and wildlife. Excellent results in protecting young seedlings can be obtained by spraying dry soil and allowing a film to develop over a few hours. 1L Ready-To-Use treats 10m² of soil; avoid spraying foliage. Active constituent: 2.8g/L Copper.

Multiguard Snail and Slug Pellets
An environmentally friendly, effective snail and slug killer that can be used in areas in which there are dogs, cats, birds and native fauna. The active ingredient is iron EDTA complex, which makes this product the least toxic available; the active ingredient is so benign that it is used in foodstuffs. The iron breaks down to a soil nutrient that won't harm earthworms. Does not contain toxic methiocarb or metaldehyde. 500g treats 120 square metres.

Slug and Snail Trap
A safe, effective and reusable snail trap, that doesn't require pellets to work. Bury the trap so the rim is level with the ground, half-fill it with beer, which holds an irresistible attraction to slugs and snails, who will then happily drown! Also useful for earwigs if baited with soy sauce and a thin film of vegetable oil on top.

Slugga Copper Barrier Tape
Tests in the USA have shown copper banding out-performed all other methods for protection from slugs and snails. When the pest makes contact with the copper it causes a reaction similar to an electric shock, which repels them. It is non-toxic, very long-lasting, with no possible potential poisoning of other animals, pets or children. It is very effective used as individual collars around young seedlings or pots. An adhesive sticky back makes application to itself or to suitable surfaces easy or it can be attached with a staple gun to the edge of a raised wooden bed. The tape is 30 mm wide.
