Tree Guard Glue
Tree Guard Glue is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
This product effectively stops climbing insects with a physical, non-chemical barrier. It's a waterproof, non-drying horticultural glue that provides 24-hour protection until covered by insects or dust. Use it to prevent pests from accessing trees, letter boxes, irrigation controls, and more. It's effective against Codling Moth (apply at flowering start), Elm Leaf Beetle, Pear and Cherry Slug, Ants (which often lead to aphids, scale, and sooty mould), Earwigs, weevils, moths, and caterpillars (including Procession Caterpillars).
To apply, wrap Tree Wrap around the tree trunk about 30-50 cm above ground, making it at least 10 cm wide. Use a spatula or paint scraper to apply a thin (2 mm) layer of glue onto the wrap. You can also create your own card traps by spreading the glue on cardboard for indoor use or core flute for outdoor use. A 500-gram tub will cover approximately 12 tree trunks (around 30 cm diameter), while a 150 ml squeeze tube can cover about 3 such trunks with the smear method or 15-20 trees with a narrow bead.
