A selected seed blend of radish and brassica designed to provide high levels of bio-fumigant compounds to effectively help in the organic control of root-knot nematodes. As a green manure it builds organic matter, breaks up clay soils with its strong taproot and chokes out weeds. It helps to control soil-borne diseases including fungi. Sow autumn; in areas with cold winters in southern Australia, begin sowing in early March and again in early spring; most of northern NSW and Queensland should wait until late April - May before sowing; in frost-free areas these seeds can be sown right through winter, until early August.

BioFume Mix is a selected seed blend of radish and brassica designed to provide high levels of bio-fumigant compounds to help in the organic control of root-knot nematodes. As a green manure it builds organic matter, breaks up clay soils with its strong taproot and chokes out weeds. It helps to control soil-borne diseases including fungi. Gases (glucocyanates) that kill the pests are released as the green manure decomposes. Best results are obtained by incorporating lush, green, finely chopped material through the soil. It is not palatable to stock but makes good poultry forage.
