Cayenne Purple' is a very hot chilli that turns from green to dark lilac-purple and then to a dark red colour when fully ripe. The beautifully coloured, slightly curved fruits reach 6 - 7 cm long. The plants are strong, sturdy and highly productive. It is an ornamental plant with light-purple flowers and purple tinged leaves. Use in salsa, pickles, sauces and curries.
