Syn. Chinese leek. Garlic chives are perennial herbs that are handy for edging garden beds or growing in containers. They act as a natural pest repellent and can be under-planted with roses. Leaves are flat and dark green, flowers are small, white and starry. The leaves & green flower buds are used in Asian cooking.
