Cornflower is a hardy, annual flower with pretty blue flowers on grey-green foliage. Dried petals are a colourful addition to potpourri. It is used in herb teas and is an ingredient in the Twinings 'Lady Grey' tea. Useful for attracting bees and butterflies and as a long-lasting cut flower. It is a good background plant. A native of Europe, it prefers a sunny position with protection from wind.
