An heirloom eggplant believed to originate from the city of Gandia in Spain. It is a very pretty eggplant with mulberry-purple and white stripes. The creamy white flesh has an excellent flavour with few seeds, the thin skin doesn't need peeling. With a tear-drop shape 15 to 20 cm long it has a wide range of uses in the kitchen. This eggplant does particularly well in humid areas and crops over a long period. Days to harvest: 80 - 90.
