Syn. Flaxseed. A fast growing, hardy plant grown for seeds and fibre. Drought tolerant; will stand light frost. It is decorative with pretty blue flowers. Not suitable as animal forage but the seeds are recommended for poultry as a source of Omega-3. Can also be grown as a sprout in a seedling tray or saucer, in a similar way to wheatgrass.
