Bateekh Samara' is an ancient melon from Iraq having been grown for over a thousand years. It has a unique, sweet, refreshing lime and cucumber flavour. The oblong fruit is greenish grey and slightly netted outside, and pale green within. It is ripe when the fruit starts to turn yellow and slips cleanly from the vine stem. Plants are very productive with 6 - 10 melons per vine. Days to harvest: 90 - 95 days.
