An heirloom melon dating back to around 1890. It is a beautiful melon with luscious deep-orange golden flesh that is sweet, juicy and aromatic. The rind is thin, heavily netted and medium ribbed. Good sized melons between 900g and 1.3kg in size are produced on prolific, hardy vines. It can be grown vertically where space is limited but support the fruit with onion bags. Melons require a long, hot growing season.
