Triple Curl' is an old familiar variety with continuing popularity. It has very attractive, dark green, highly curled leaves in a rosette. It is suitable for temperate and subtropical areas. Parsley is a staple herb, it can be planted as a productive, attractive edge to garden beds. It is the richest in iron of any vegetable.

Plant type: Cool area biennial; short-lived in subtropical areas

Plant height: 30 cm high

Sow when: Germinate best at 12 - 25°C soil temp.

Temperate: Late Sept, early Oct - Dec

Subtropical: Early spring and autumn

Tropical: Flat leaf cvs are more successful

Germination: 3 - 6 weeks; soak the seed overnight to speed it up

Depth: Cover seed lightly to 6 mm deep; firm down and keep moist

Position: Full sun to partial shade

Sow where: Sow direct or into individual seed pots to reduce later transplant shock

Soil type: Fertile, well drained soil; add compost; pH 6 - 7

Harvest: 70 days; pull the whole leaf away from the base
