Pumpkin 'Yokohama' is an heirloom variety from Japan, it was introduced to the USA in 1863 and is still grown there. It is a smaller pumpkin, slightly ribbed and shaped like a spinning top. The skin is thick, green and a bit knobbly. It has dry, golden yellow, finely-textured, sweet-tasting flesh and it stores well.
