The tender leaves are rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E and K; minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc; plus carotene, chlorophyll, amino acids, antioxidants and protein (35%). It is believed to stimulate the immune system.

Radish is a spicy, slightly hot, nutritious sprout. The tender leaves are rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E and K; minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc; plus carotene, chlorophyll, amino acids, antioxidants and protein (35%). It is believed to stimulate the immune system.
Container: Use a jar sprouter or dome sprouter
Soak time: Wash seed, then soak for 6 - 12 hours
Sow When: Try to avoid very hot or cold weather; temperatures between 16°C – 28°C work best
Quantity: 1 heaped tsp to a 650ml jar sprouter
Rinses per day: 2 - 3 times; avoid the seeds clumping together; wash the hulls off during the final rinse; if you can't be at home on hot days, refrigerate the sprouts until you get back
Harvest: 3 - 6 days
Yield: 1 - 1½ cups
Storage: Store sprouts in the fridge, use a container that breathes; avoid plastic bags; rinse every few days
