Strawflower 'Sultane Mix'
Strawflower 'Sultane Mix' is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Sultane' strawflowers are a bright and cheerful mix of colours including coral, white, rose, yellow, orange and copper-red. The 90 - 100 cm tall, well-branched plants have been selected for uniform growth and uniform flowering. The stems are tall and straight; perfect for picking as fresh or dried flowers. As dried flower bunches the colours last well. They make a lovely addition to a flower border. In the garden the flowers are attractive to bees and beneficial insects. For flower bunches, pick when 2-3 layers of petals have unfolded but before the flowers are fully open. To dry strawflowers, simply gather them in small bunches and hang upside down in a well-ventilated room or on a verandah away from direct sunlight. Once dry, they will last for months. Suitable for temperate and subtropical areas. Days to bloom: 10 to 12 weeks.
