Strawflower 'Mixed'
Strawflower 'Mixed' is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Strawflowers are colourful, long-blooming annuals for the summer garden. The papery flowers are produced on well-branched, 100 - 110 cm tall, heat and drought tolerant plants. These are wonderful long-lasting cut flowers and perfect for drying. Large flowers 5 - 7 cm across bloom in a beautiful mix of colours including bronze, crimson, yellow, rose and white coral. In the garden the flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies and beneficial insects. For flower bunches, pick when 2 - 3 layers of petals have unfolded but before the flowers are fully open. To dry strawflowers, simply gather them in small bunches and hang upside down in a well-ventilated room or on a verandah away from direct sunlight. Once dry, they will last for months. Suitable for temperate and subtropical areas. Days to bloom: 10 to 12 weeks.
