Virginian Stock Mix
Virginian Stock Mix is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Virginian Stock is an easily grown annual that produces masses of sweet smelling flowers in pink, lilac, mauve and white. It is native to Greece and Albania in sandy coastal positions. It is best to direct sow it around the garden to give a splash of early spring colour. Virginian Stock has a low growing habit to 20 - 30 cm tall, so it makes a good edging plant for garden paths. It also does well in containers and hanging baskets. Plants prefer a sunny open position in moist, well-drained soil but will tolerate partial shade. The seeds germinate best between 18° - 24°C soil temperature; sow spring and autumn in temperate areas; late spring in very cool areas; autumn to winter in subtropical areas. Virginian Stock is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and beneficial insects. Days to bloom: 80 - 100 days.
