Zinnia 'Scarlet Flame' is an heirloom annual flower introduced more than 80 years ago and still bringing colour and beauty to gardens. Zinnias are native to Mexico and are disease resistant and hardy to heat and drought. 'Scarlet Flame' blooms throughout summer with brilliant, bright-red, dahlia-like semi-double to double blooms on strong stems, plants grow 75 cm tall. The flowers are very large, 10 - 12 cm across and make an excellent cut flower. Flowers are long lasting both in the garden and vase. Zinnias are useful as pollinator plantings and are especially attractive to butterflies.
