Costa Romanesque' is a distinctive Italian heirloom with prominently ribbed fruit. The skin is medium grey-green with pale green flecks. It is delicious raw or cooked and has a nutty flavour. It is also a good producer of male flower buds for eating. The fruit stays tender even when very large. Vines have large leaves and need more space than other bush squash.
